Diane Keaton did it, Patti Smith mastered it and this season’s trends have many women wanting to do it. We’re talking borrowing from the boys – men’s fashion that looks great on women.

Vogue takes a look at some of this seasons trends for men that women can pull off too:

Leather jacket

Menswear cuts offer a certain boxy shape that womenswear departments are yet to offer. The crop leather jacket is on trend for women this year but the men’s elongated length can be flattering.

Trench coat

A good quality men’s trench can look fabulous on a woman and you can’t go past the classic Burberry trench.

Baggy jumper

A look that has been popular with stylists this season is the slouchy knit. Loose fitting and baggy on the shoulders, a man’s jumper would put you right on trend.

Slim-fit suit

Women just aren’t offered the same kind of tailoring standards as men when it comes to suits. A male cut in a slim-fit suit can offer the right amount of relaxed style on a woman.

Anorak

Not only does an anorak look great over a white dress with canvas flats, it’s extremely practical as well.
