2013 perth fashion show program unveiled

This September, Western Australia will be filled with the hottest designers, models and fashion writers as they come together to celebrate the 15th Annual Perth Fashion Festival.

The 2013 program has now been released and will include designs from Augustus, Amore Sorvete, Bikini Atoll and Jessica Bratich.

Director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan announced that this year’s festival will once again be based at the WA Museum, with Forrest Place also hosting some events.

Morrison founder Richard Poulson is thrilled to once again be part of the festival, which last year saw 35,000 attend. He said that the Perth Fashion Festival is a perfect opportunity to support the local fashion industry, which has been doing it tough over the last few years.

The Fremantle-based designer admitted that the recent slump has been hard for all members of the Australian fashion industry, and that it’s forced brands to re-invent and innovate new ways to make their designs even better.

Local designers are looking forward to showcasing their finest work, with the hope their designs will capture the attention of national and international media.

With this in mind, the 2013 Perth Fashion Show should be a spectacular event.
