From a small store in Tasmania, to a global following, Talita wants all women to feel empowered and confident to pursue their dreams, and feel wonderful while doing it.

1. How do you hope to empower women through estherandco.com?
The aim hasn’t changed much since I first launched Esther & Co years ago. I want all women all around the world to have the opportunity to buy a beautiful dress. Women should always be free to dress in a way that makes them feel empowered, strong and confident.“When I see another woman breaking down barriers and telling the world exactly what she wants, I feel inspired.”
2. Why is it so important to have women in leadership positions?
Behind every successful woman is a tribe of women lifting her up. Women leading women is the best kind of motivation. When I see another woman breaking down barriers and telling the world exactly what she wants, I feel inspired.
3. Who is an inspirational woman you look up to and how do they motivate you?
Chantelle Baxter, co-founder of not-for-profit organisation One Girl is an absolute inspiration. She worked with the organisation to raise funds and support the education of women and girls in Africa. Women like Chantelle send such a positive message to all women and men that we can all do more to support each other.
4. What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate all the remarkable women in the world and how they are standing up and taking charge everyday. Women like Chantelle Baxter and Rochelle Courtenay, but also your local barista who is working two jobs to support her children and your friend with anxiety who managed to get through a whole day without a panic attack. We need to remember success looks different to everyone, and we should celebrate the big and small wins. Let’s all be an inspiration to each other - support one another to achieve success, and offer a helping hand when we see each other struggling. We’re all in this together.
